Years and years bookstores are looking for a way who to get amazon under control. Selling books online is just cheaper and more easy to purchase for a customer. Books are a item you just buy because you need them or think you like them. It is a product you can not try before you buy, the trying of a book is the complete fun of the product so for most people it do's not matter if they buy the book online or in a store.

The document is giving guidance on how to approach opensource and by this making it valid for the military to use and consider opensource besides closedsource software. For a long time the US military was unsure on how and if they could use opensource software. With this document which is released under name of David M. Wennergren who is currently the CIO of the Department of Defense this uncertainty is removed for the most part.

As some people may know I did a switch from windows to Linux at my previous employer and was very happy with it. After some troubles I had running all the tools I needed on a Ubuntu instance running on top of a Dell laptop. Now I have spend the past time working at my new employer and have currently 2 laptops. Both are running windows vista and even do I do some tricks with Cygwin and virtualbox it is not satisfying me. So I made a decision. I will try again to switch to linux and see how this will end up.

Lets say you are a government, a city counsel or any other form of government and you have a huge huge set of data on all kinds of topics. And you do want to give this to the public. What do you have to do to make this data useful to the public? Do you know how they want to view the data what they expect from it? Simple answer, you don't and if you try to do it you will do it the wrong way. The only way to make this is a success is by not trying to do anything with the data only making sure it is available.
